What are the latest features?
Let’s cut to the chase and get to the latest features:
+ No new hardware changes from the Forerunner 945
+ It features a 47mm always-on, full-color touchscreen display and weighs 52 grams
+ Rated for 5ATM of water resistance but has a slightly longer battery life at an estimated 15 days, with 42 hours in GPS mod
+ Some extra training metrics, like PacePro and ClimbPro, that give real-time guidance on your pace and elevation
+ Multi-band GPS, HRV status, morning reports, and the new race widget. It also has a new training readiness metric. As the name implies, the metric takes into account sleep, recovery time, HRV, and a few other metrics to give users a score indicating how “ready” they are for a training session.
What about the straps and bands?
+ Comfortable silicone 22mm watchband is attached to the watch. Like the Forerunner 945 LTE, the watchband is held in with spring-loaded pins that are found within the opening at the ends of the band
+ Bands come in funky colours including: whitestone, ember orange, flame red and amp yellow.
If you’re sporting the Forerunner 255 or 255s which is just as robust then you should know that they use a quick release 22mm and 18mms band (respectively).
