Do I need to purchase spring bars for this?
No! These simply latch onto your existing bars on your watch. You will only need spring bars if you've lost your spring bars. These spring bars can be purchased here.
Will this work on my non-Garmin watch?
No, unfortunately not. These require special 2.3mm thick spring bars to latch on securely. The only other known brand that uses these are some Coros watch models.

My garmin watch strap snapped after 6 years of daily use in chlorine and salt water. Replaced with Strapify version. Used their guide for replacement strap. It was smaller in width and length and not quite the same silicone as original Garmin product but does the job. Ithe screws were small and the tool provided to fit them was too big. Took it all to the local key man and he used his tools to fit it in 40 secs and no charge, thanks Mr Minut! Strapify strap is a good fill in and will likely order from Garmin a true replacement.

Love the strap and response time but my tiny little strap screws are terrible quality. Already starting to rust, will need replacing with SS ones.
The strap I purchased came with black chrome buckle, not the black as shown in the image. Black chrome is not a color that Garmin used.
I sent an email about this, but never heard from anyone.
I ended up buying another strap for a third of the price on Amazon. The silicone strap was equal in quality and the hardware was the correct color for the watch so I feel I’ve paid a lot for not a very good product.
