Ultra Militex - Green with Red Centreline

I own a lot of NATO straps, including one I have had for over 25 years. Buying these is a hit-and-miss affair, and most recently my purchases have been met with disappointment.

This Ultra NA.TO-X I have just put on my beefy divers watch (16.5 mm thick and 55 mm lug to lug) is hands-down the BEST NATO strap I have ever purchased.

Sure, it's not cheap, but here's what I look for in a NATO, and what this strap delivers:
1. Stitched not glued for longevity
2. Refined edges and ends with no melt-blobs
3. Machined holes, no rough bits
4. Decent hardware, appropriate for the strap - meaning perfectly finished, rounded edges and enough mass to last without deformation
5. Material quality - in this type (seat belt refined style), I look for just a *hint* of sheen, but not shiny like silk - fine, even weave; this one is perfect
6. Appearance - this is exactly as advertised and looks amazing
7. Comfort - it feels robust and yet it almost disappears on my wrist - no rough edges, not hot spots, no pinching

One word of caution regarding this strap (and others listed at 29 cm) - I would say it's a little shorter than 29 cm. Even tip of buckle to tongue-end, I measured 27.5 cm. Combined with my 7 1/4 inch wrist and beefy diver's watch, I have no spare strap to tuck (see pic). But, this is a good news story for me, as I prefer not to tuck and this makes it more streamlined. If you're a tucker and you have a big wrist on a big diver's, I might opt for a long strap.

I took the time to write all this because I believe in supporting Australian businesses. Strapify turned this purchase around and express posted it immediately and it was on my wrist in a couple of days. I want you to understand that if you buy a strap here it will be excellent and the purchase will feel good, up to and including the excellent packaging. Don't hesitate, go ahead and purchase. I also bought a quick release silicone strap, which is exactly as advertised.
